What are Chapter Openers?

Chapter Openers, called What You Learned Before in middle school or Maintaining Mathematical Proficiency in high school promote the development of the habits of mind mathematically proficient students demonstrate. The Chapter Openers review skills students need for developing the new concepts in the upcoming chapter. In the textbook, these can be found at the beginning of every chapter. Similar exercises can also be found online in the Dynamic Assessment System.
