Are the materials designed so that students attain fluencies and procedural skills?

Students learn by practicing and using math. With that in mind, Big Ideas Math includes sets of exercises for students to focus on procedural fluency. Sufficient practice with these types of exercises is included in every lesson. When students need more practice than what is in the book, there are three different practice worksheets teachers can assign, two in the Resources by Chapter and one in the Record and Practice Journal/Student Journal.
