In every set of Exercises, students begin with either the Vocabulary and Core Concept Check, where they answer conceptual questions about the lesson and the Core Concepts (high school) or the Vocabulary and Concept Check (middle school)/ Key Ideas. Then, students continue to either the Monitoring Progress and Maintaining Mathematical Proficiency section (high school) or Practice and problem Solving (middle school), where they first practice the skills they learned in the lesson before completing conceptual and real-life application exercises. The most difficult exercises are at the end, challenging studentsâ€™ mathematical understanding as they finish the section.
